Transferring a .uk domain name
You can transfer in a .uk domain name to SmartDeCat free of charge by changing the domains TAG to SMARTDECAT (all capitals) and inform us once you have done this. When transferring in a domain name you are agreeing to our terms and conditions and the terms set out by Nominet.
If you need to transfer a .uk domain name out you can do so without penalty (subject to an administration fee if applicable), simply get in touch with us and provide the new Registrars TAG. We will take care of the rest for you.

As an Accredited Channel Partner domain name Registrar and a member of Nominet we follow strict rules and offer a transfer resolution service free of charge. Our commitment in no way releases you from your contractual obligations with your developers.
*If you are purchasing a relevant hosted website package from SmartDeCat you will be provided with one (1) .uk domain name completely free of charge for the first year. For additional domain extensions or domains not included as part of a package the registration fee of a .uk domain will be the same as the renewals fee.
Domains provided free as part of a package are none transferable during the first year or two years if applicable, in this circumstance you can pay the relevant Registration / Renewal fee using the termination buy back scheme to allow early transfer to take place.
